For this project, I had the opportunity to animate shapes that would move around based on my music selection. I went with the track “beach motel.” To me, this track eludes a sense of calm. Because of this, I decided to use a lot of circles in my story board that would rotate and show depth. My first frame consists of two crescent shapes that rotate into a circle. These turn into one larger circle that bounces closer into the middle of the shape. This then becomes a rotating cross that will eventually go back to being a circle. In order to add cohesion, I made it so that this circle would change back into crescents, like the beginning.
I wanted to create something smooth, but that was eye catching. I think that this was possible based on my shape choices and the “ding” sound in the track that indicates when to change frames. My color choice is very different from what I originally anticipated in that I wanted a more cohesive color scheme. I chose to go with a teal that would be accentuated with neutrals (gray and black).
